The idea of a butchery was to respond to two important needs. One was to create a market for chickens and pigs. We are one of the primary buyers of chickens in Rutshuru, guaranteeing a ready market to smallholder farmers.

Secondly, we are one of the key producers of safe and delicious meat products. Meat conservation was a severe problem before. People could buy meat that was not stored properly. We decided to open a butchery to store meat and preserve its quality and safety.
